Living with all these animals, it can be
hard to get away from the farm. But we managed to sneak away for a couple
of days and go to Chicago. It was an exhausting trip, but well worth it!
We rode the 9:00 train in from Gary to
Chicago, then rode the subway to Wrigley field for a day game. It was a
good game, very very cold. Great seats too! Thank God, I brought blankets
and Rod remembered the hats and gloves! We all needed them! We also
had tickets to the White Sox 7:00 game, and had to leave by 5 to get down there.
Of course, the Cubs game went into extra innings! It was the first game
Rod ever had to leave early! We left in the 13th inning. (Game went
to 14) But we made it down to the White Sox game in time!
Wrigley Field is filled with history.
It's a great ball park. But the White Sox US Cellular Field is really
really nice! (reminds us of the Tigers Comerica Park) We got to sit
7 rows above the Sox Dugout! It was a great game! Funny thing is, it
was warmer at the night game!!
After a long day of baseball, we had to
wait to catch the 11:18 train to Gary. It was a long train ride, we were
all tired and ready for bed! I think I can speak for all of us, we had a
great day! Even managed to stop at the Indiana Dunes on the way
home! Thanks everyone, I had a great time!
