Another one of our adventures! We have season tickets
to the Louisville River Bats, which are a AAA team for the Reds. (They
have a better record right now too!) Slugger Field is a very fan oriented
Ball Park! Prices are reasonable and most importantly the people are very
nice! There's a great place to grab a bite to eat called Browning's!
A great place to stop and eat any day of the week if you are in Louisville!
They brew their own beer on site, actually we buy kegs from them!
On Thunder Over Louisville, the River
Bats played the Durham Bulls, and won! I'm learning how to keep score, but
don't ask how to chart pitches yet, one thing at a time! We had a great
time in the right field bleachers as we watched the planes fly overhead.
Of course Mike had to have Peanuts & Cracker Jacks as he wandered around
watching the planes! The fried bologna sandwiches are to die for!
The fireworks that night were spectacular! What a show! Not really
sure if it was worth the wait in the parking garage though, it took over an hour
to get out! Makes you realize how nice Canaan is! Where the only
traffic jam is Denny on his tractor or Blue (our dog) laying in the middle of
the road on a warm day!
